New patient information
I am looking forward to us working together. In preparation for our first session, please take a moment to read through the information below. Once you have done this, please complete and submit the Intake & GDPR form at the bottom of this page.
Please note, your session will only be confirmed once I receive the completed the form.

Remote Sessions
All sessions take place online, unless by prior arrangement. All remote sessions will be carried out via Zoom . On booking your session, Meeta will send out a zoom invite. The invite will provide you with a unique meeting number and password. Please accept the invite and use it to log in at the time of your session.

Booking Sessions
I feel it is important you have agency over the rhythm and frequency of sessions. At the end of your initial session, I will share my thinking about the potential rhythm of sessions going forward should we choose to work together. Sessions may be booked weekly, bi monthly, or less frequently depending on what is deemed most appropriate given the work we would like to do together and subject to other professional support you may be receiving, or choose to receive, during the course of therapy e.g. physiotherapy, family constellations work, EMDR to name but a few. We will, in session, check in regularly to assess whether the current frequency of sessions is serving the process and adjust where necessary. Sessions are offered on a first come first serve basis. Please see ‘Client Correspondence’ below for how to book sessions.
Concerns or Complaints
It is my sincere hope we will work through any concerns or complaints you might have during session. Working through concerns and complaints can be a very rewarding and healing part of the therapeutic process. Should you feel unable to engage in this process with me directly, or you feel we have been unable to resolve your concern, you have the right to contact UKCP to record a formal complaint. You can contact the UKCP, my professional body, and lodge a complain via their website - https://www.psychotherapy.org.uk/ukcp-members/complaints/how-to-make-a-complaint/
Payment
Please make payment, by bank transfer, 24 hours prior to your confirmed session time. Please use your name and session date as reference. My bank details are as follows:
Connected Life Limited
Barclays Bank
Sort Code 20-96-89
Account Number 93680002.
I am conscious we all have very busy lives and on a rare occasion you may be delayed in making payment. If this happens, please make payment so as soon as you remember and send Meeta an email letting her know you have made payment. Meet can be reached at info@berelational.co.uk
If payment has not been received prior to your session, Meeta will send you a reminder within 48 hours of your session taking place. If payment is not received within 24 hours of the reminder being sent to you, an additional £25 will be added to your invoice to cover the administrative costs involved in chasing payment.
Please note an invoice will only be sent to you on written request directly to Meeta at info@berelational.co.uk
Cancellation Policy
All sessions have a 72 hour cancellation policy. This means sessions cancelled more than 72 hours in advance of your confirmed session time will not be charged for. Sessions cancelled 72 hours or less will incur the full session fee. All missed sessions will incur the full session fee. It is at my personal discretion to waive all, or part, of the cancellation fee.
Private Medical Insurance
A number of private medical insurance companies now pay for psychotherapy and counselling. You may wish to check with your insurance company directly whether they will cover your therapy with me. Whether your insurance company covers all, or part, of your session/s, please be aware that my therapeutic contract is with you and not your insurance company. Therefore, please settle your account directly with me and make the necessary claim with your insurance company independently. You can obtain an electronic receipt directly from Meeta at info@berelational.co.uk should your insurance company require it.
Client Correspondence
Scheduling of sessions can be done directly with my assistant Meeta via email, WhatsApp 07778 105256 or telephone 07778 105256 during the hours of 9am-5pm Monday to Friday only. Emails received outside of these hours will be answered the next working day. When Meeta is away emails will be answered by Kerry-Lyn during office hours. Should you be running late for a session with Kerry-Lyn, please contact Kerry-Lyn directly via email or phone 07887 856154.
Any and all correspondence, outside of appointment scheduling, will be charged at my hourly rate of £225 including VAT. Payment will be required prior to my commencing the correspondence and an invoice will be issued. Correspondence includes:
• Any interaction outside of the therapeutic session that requires my input or support with a current situation or relationship issue, be it medical, emotional or relational.
• Writing of letters and/or reports for third parties e.g. insurance companies, health professional, legal entities, your employer or potential employer, for applications etc.
Multi-Disciplinary Approach
During the course of our work together, there may be a need for me to speak with other professionals who are currently supporting you or who may support you in the near future. My ability to speak with other professionals ensures you receive the best possible care. To do this I need your explicit permission. There is a question on the Intake & GDPR which addresses this request. Should you have any questions regarding my multi-disciplinary approach please feel free to explore this further in your session.
Intake and GDPR Forms
There are two forms to be completed prior to your session. If you have any questions regarding the forms please contact Meeta on info@berelational.co.uk
I hope the above is clear and looking forward to meeting you and working with you.
Warmest regards
Kerry-Lyn
